A cancer researcher from UCSF approached Lizza with his ambitious goal to collect data from every cancer patient around the world with a specific and rare type of melanoma. At the time, the only way to tackle this problem was through the use of her web-based research tool.
This was a perfect first client – Lizza and George loved a good challenge.
It was a huge success. Within just a few months, a total of 35 sites worldwide enrolled to participate and were able to collaborate in real-time for the first time. UCSF was able to use and share the data collected to deliver tailored treatment plans and shared decision making to patients in the largest cancer discovery initiative at that time.
