Account Manager

Account Manager


As an Account Manager, your big picture role is to engage and delight our customers through your ability to build strong relationships, understand our customers short-term and long-term goals, help them overcome any unique barriers or challenges related to the utilization of our software or services, and build a shared vision for how we can help solve their problems and make them successful in their efforts to make the world a healthier place. Practically speaking, you will play a key role on our sales team to help us grow and retain our loyal customers and grow accounts through new services and offerings.

As an ideal candidate, you will have:
  • A strong passion for technology and experience with enterprise software.
  • BS or equivalent work experience.
  • Obsession with follow-through.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Engagement Manager

Engagement Manager


As a Engagement Manager, you will lead clients through successful deployments of DatStat’s Data Collection Platform. You’ll have the opportunity to work with our entire suite of products, consulting clients on best practices along the way. This position requires the skills to analyze work flow, evaluate systems and formulate plans, recommending strategies and communicating the desires of clients to other members of a project team to ensure understanding of the clients’ challenges and goals.

As an ideal candidate, you will have:
  • 3+ years of experience with client-facing implementation projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in informatics, computer science, psychology or other healthcare field.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and customer focused.
  • Strong problem solving skills, flexible mindset, and the ability to adapt quickly in fast paced multi-task environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, technical aptitude, and strong desire to learn new things.
  • Working knowledge of HTML / Java / CSS / XML / SQL preferred.

  • Project Management and facilitation of multiple projects, from kick-off meeting to completion / handover to Account Management.
  • Translate customer functional requirements into design and build requirements.

Software QA Engineer

Software QA Engineer


As a Software QA Engineer, you will play a key role on the engineering team to design, create, document, implement, and maintain test documents for complex on-demand functionality. You should be self-directed, team oriented, and care about what the customer wants from our products. This position requires healthy doses of initiative and flexibility in a very dynamic environment.

As an ideal candidate, you will have:
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience with various testing methodologies, processes, and user acceptance testing.
  • Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment and stay motivated and flexible.
  • Ability to work cross functionally to deliver resolution of technical, procedural, and operational issues.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with the following technologies preferred: Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft .NET, IIS, and various testing and performance tools.

  • Work closely with design and development staff to resolve issues during test cycles, product maintenance, and product release to ensure quality.
  • Act as QA on project teams to ensure delivery of a quality product that meets business and functional requirements.
  • Develop product test plans, including the maintenance and execution of a suite of test cases.
  • Perform functionality, system, integration, regression, and acceptance testing using manual methods utilizing available testing tools.
  • Maintain product test environments.
  • Monitor project compliance to standards (specifically CFR Part 11 Compliance).
  • Record all test results, and completely document defects and system errors.
Systems Administrator

Systems Administrator


As the Systems Administrator, you will work with other DatStat operational areas in designing and maintaining the companies corporate and hosting infrastructure. Additionally, you will work with DatStat Engineering in defining the operational protocol and systems required in deploying and maintaining our current and next generation platforms using DatStat infrastructure and/or third party cloud infrastructure. Our platform will have you working with cutting edge web and cloud technologies, and you will play a key role as we revolutionize health research and healthcare delivery. You will need to be a self-starter who can operate in both a team and self-directed contexts. You will have a passion for delivering high quality web experiences, and care deeply about our customers. This position requires healthy doses of initiative and flexibility in a very dynamic environment.

As an ideal candidate, you will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a Microsoft hosting environment (MS Windows Server, MS IIS, MS SQL Server, .NET Framework, etc.) and managing a Microsoft corporate environment (MS Windows desktop OS).
  • Strong customer success orientation, with a drive and proven ability to finding win/win scenarios.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows networking topography including Domain Controllers, Active Directory and DNS. Exchange Server experience helpful.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Design, Implementation, and Administration Experience.
  • Experience or desire to learn and manage server hardware including diagnostics and basic repair and maintenance.
  • Experience or desire to learn about Microsoft Azure and / or other cloud computing environments and how to manage and maintain them.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Administer DatStat’s hosting infrastructure, including network, server, and storage devices inside Seattle based data center co-location facility.
  • Administer DatStat’s corporate IT infrastructure, including servers, laptops / desktops and other devices found within the enterprise (including MS Exchange, SCCM, etc.).
  • Develop and execute routine maintenance plan and targeted automation in support of DatStat’s hosting and corporate IT infrastructure.
  • Verify application uptime, execution and performance by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
  • Contribute to the design and development of best-practices for hosting of DatStat’s enterprise software products in the DatStat cloud, including evaluation of future infrastructure scenarios based on forward looking strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with DatStat executive stakeholders in assessing business risks and opportunities, providing advisory strategic and tactical perspective on infrastructure decisions.
  • Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery, back-up procedures, information security, and control structures.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulations and policies related to DatStat’s business (HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, etc.).
  • Participate as a stakeholder in DatStat regulatory compliance processes, including maintenance of standard operating procedures related to DatStat’s corporate and hosting infrastructures.
  • Travel onsite to customer locations to support on-premise installations/upgrades, troubleshooting, and other customer enablement activities (travel expected: ~25%).
  • Field questions and requests from DatStat employees regarding their laptop/desktop hardware and software. Employee hardware/software environment includes Dell laptops and Apple MacBook computers running Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows 8, Apple OS X, and Parallels.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
