The Technology Lead position presents a unique opportunity to apply your technology experience and knowledge across the spectrum of product related functions of a software company. The position will be responsible for contributing to the DatStat Client Services team where you will work with the team in the design, and implementation of customer solutions on DatStat’s next generation health research and patient-centered management platform. The position will also give you an opportunity to work with DatStat QA, DatStat Product Engineering, and Customer Support teams directly impacting the lifecycle of our products. You will need to be a self-starter who can operate in both a team and self-directed contexts. You will have a passion for delivering high-quality web experiences, and care deeply about our customers. This position requires healthy doses of initiative and flexibility in a very dynamic environment.
 
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Informatics, Management Information Systems, or related field; a minimum of 4 years’ experience in software technology; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in a services / software organization with experience participating in software development life cycle of full stack solutions preferred.
  • Competent in the following technologies: scripting using JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, and CSS3. Exposure to JSON, XML, .Net Framework and C# is preferred.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Development Software (Atlassian/JIRA); Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Self-motivated individuals with a strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for
    this position.

  • Development and delivery of the technical services solutions across all DatStat products.
  • Development and delivery of custom solutions that utilize DatStat’s API/SDK capabilities across all DatStat products.
  • Follow processes, policies, and guidelines outlined for DatStat Client Services.
  • Work with the Project Manager (PM) and Implementation Coordinator (IC), as needed, to define project specifications.
  • Responsible for self-time management and driving of assigned tasks in collaboration with IC, PM, and Director of Client Services to ensure timely completion.
  • Deliver solutions focused on cutting-edge design, efficient and reusable development/implementation, and creative solutions to meet customer needs; includes activity/portal/reporting design and implementation (using DatStat development environment, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, and other programming languages).
  • Work onMaintain high levels of quality across multiple projects while working within strict deadlines multiple projects, from simple to highly complex in nature.
  • Communicate daily regarding status of all assigned tasks and projects.
  • Work with internal resources to determine costs and develop and implement appropriate cost metrics.
  • Train and mentor other Technical Specialists within SCG, when applicable.
  • Develop and establish programming/coding processes and standards.
  • Identify process gaps and assist in the development and implementation of new processes.
  • Work with the DatStat engineering team in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing industry-leading features on
    our next generation platform.
  • Support PM/IC by attending and contributing to customer calls and other project related activities, as needed.

As a Quality Assurance Intern,you are responsible for developing test plans and conducting test cases for projects of varying size, scope and complexity in order to deliver high-quality systems on schedule. The Intern documents and tracks all defects. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, possessing sound judgment, and sound analytical skills. They must be able to work independently and in a fast-paced, team environment. They must be able to manage multiple and competing priorities. They must be willing to gain business and technical knowledge. They must be able to communicate effectively with a broad range of audiences. They will also have a strong sense of customer service and teamwork.

As an ideal candidate, you will have:
  • 1-3 years of PC software testing experience, particularly client/server network application testing and, web application testing.
  • Progress toward B.S in Computer Science (or equivalent degree / experience).
  • A strong track record of shipping high-quality products.
  • Experience with stress and performance testing of network-based applications, particularly database driven applications.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with the following technologies preferred: Windows Server, SQL Server 2005/2008, Active Server Pages, IIS 6/7, and various testing and performance tools.
