Lizza has always wanted to know what makes people tick, and furthermore what is needed to successfully change behavior. While at Stanford, Lizza explored the intersection of medical informatics and clinical psychology. She approached the creation and rollout of a decision support system for HIV/AIDS. She also led the development of interventions for substance use, addiction, and eating disorders with a unique appreciation for how to balance technology with human nature. These interdisciplinary efforts cultivated a new view of the world, which led her to pioneer web-based research applications.
With intense interest from the research community for her web-based solutions, she and her technology partner, George, felt compelled to help others advance their research, and thus DatStat was born.
Since the beginning, Lizza has been setting DatStat’s strategic direction growing the company from start-up to the most trusted company for data collection in healthcare.
When asked what she loves about her work, Lizza answers simply, “I’m inspired everyday by what our customers do and the positive impact they are having on making the world a healthier place. When we can help advance their work, it is immensely rewarding.”
