Executive Team

Elizabeth Miller, Ph.D.

CEO & Co-founder

Lizza pioneered web-based research in the mid 1990’s during her tenure at Stanford University and the University of Washington. She co-founded DatStat in response to a definitive market need for survey and research management software that is multi-mode, configurable, and interoperable. Lizza is charged with setting DatStat’s strategic direction and vision, using her two decades of research experience to lead the company from start-up to market leader.

Lizza holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Washington and two undergraduate degrees from Boston College.

George Dittmeier

CTO & Co-founder

George co-founded DatStat after working in the in the prestigious Tools Division at Oracle Corporation, where he also managed Oracle Graphics, including the System Service Layer and the Virtual Graphics System. Today, he uses his foundation of more than 20 years enterprise software engineering and product development leadership to shape the technology roadmap at DatStat.

George also led the development of web-based UI at NetGravity Inc., which was acquired by DoubleClick Inc. during his tenure. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems & Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.

Christopher Maconi

COO

Chris has been leading high-performance software product organizations for over a decade. At DatStat, he is responsible for overseeing day-to-day development and go-to-market strategies. Prior to DatStat, Chris served as CTO for Wingman Mobile, CTO and VP of Product Development at Electronic Evidence Discovery (where his efforts resulted in the company’s sale to a prominent private equity firm), IBM Global Services and several Internet startups.

He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Management Information Systems (MIS).

Renee Shatos Petrie

Sr. Director for Healthcare Solutions

Renee is responsible for developing product strategy and client partnerships. Her focus is to ensure maximum success in applying DatStat technology across diverse areas of the healthcare enterprise, including research, quality of care, marketing, and IT interoperability.

Previously, Renee served as Assistant Director & Director of Data Operations at the UW Social Development Research Group (SDRG), where she had responsibility for managing complex research protocols and maximizing response in longitudinal, randomized controlled trials. She holds a degree in business from Washington State University.

Evan Lazarz

Healthcare Solutions Consultant

Evan uses his strong background in clinical research and validation to advise healthcare professionals and study investigators on the use of DatStat technology for electronic data capture and patient reported outcomes. He was a member of the process engineering and methods development teams at the Allen Institute for Brain Science in Seattle and provided validation services at Aperio Technologies before coming to DatStat.

Evan holds a degree in Chemistry from the Evergreen State College and has extensive knowledge of 21 CFR 11 and 21 CFR 58.

Maria Tringali

Research Solutions Manager

Maria is a two-time DatStat-er, having worked with clients here in 2007-08 and again since early 2011. She is responsible for developing product strategy and client partnerships in the areas of academic, corporate, and market research. Maria brings twenty years of sales, marketing and management experience in the research, hospitality, and print industries.

She currently serves on the executive board of Seattle Rotary, the largest rotary organization in the world, and is a former board member of the American Marketing Association, Puget Sound Chapter. She holds a degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Cal Poly SLO.

Gretchen Traut

Academic Solutions Consultant

Gretchen has studied and instructed at some of the top academic institutions in the US, Argentina, and Europe. She speaks five languages fluently and is a certified Spanish language translator. She works with investigators conducting studies in a variety of academic and social science disciplines to determine which DatStat products and services will offer the greatest improvements to project efficiency.

Gretchen is a 2012 graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in Spanish.

Sara Heskett, Ph.D.

Manager

Dr. Sara Heskett comes to DatStat with over twenty years of research experience across a wide range of research areas. She oversees the Solutions Consulting Group, which provides DatStat customers with consultation, implementation, and custom development services for any or all stages of a data collection or research effort. Sara has extensive experience with quantitative and qualitative research, study design, survey development, statistical analysis, report writing, and strategic planning.

Sara has utilized her abilities in clinical research, analysis, problem solving, critical thinking, organization, and verbal and written communication as a consultant for numerous academic institutions and organizations. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Washington in 2002, has published numerous articles and book chapters, and has delivered dozens of presentations at research conferences around the world.
